Tamar is a software manager and architect. In the past, she managed a development group in Edgeverve Systems and was an architect of a transaction engine. She also led a team of performance experts at NCR Retail, was a solution architect in Personetics, and she had a start up of her own in the social network field.She has a decade of software engineering experience in various technologies: Server side, big data, mobile, web technologies, and security. She is currently focusing on Node.js, and have a deep knowledge of Node.js server architecture and Node.js performance optimizations.

Joel Lord

Joel Lord is passionate about web and technology in general. He likes to learn new things, but most of all, he wants to share his discoveries. He does so by travelling at various conferences all across the globe.
He graduated from college in computer programming in the last millennium. Apart from a little break to get his BSc in computational astrophysics, he was always in the industry.
As a developer advocate with MongoDB, he meets with developers to help them make the web better by using best practices around Kubernetes.
During his free time, he can be found stargazing in a camping site somewhere or brewing a fresh batch of beer in his garage.
