The Context API was a “problem” for a long time as it was considered unstable, however, it was being used by the #1 solution of large-scale state management in React – namely Redux. The React core-team has stabilized Context to be used publicly, while with the release of Hooks this Context can be changed easily. But is this the final solution to state management in React or are there (better) alternatives?
This talk will transition from explaining the basic concept of immutability and state-management to using Context and exploring alternative libraries like Recoil and MobX. I’ll make sure that you know how to handle local state management and large-scale state-management for your next project!
