Description
Thanks to recent advancements in display technologies, we now witness devices with either a flexible bendable screen or two screens, also known as dual-screen devices, come to the market en masse. This opens a door for new exciting use-cases but also sets novel requirements for apps that need to be written with this new form factor in mind. The web has always been good at adapting to different screen sizes and most web sites are now responsible by default. But how can the web take advantage of multiple screens when there may be a hinge of a varying width in between the two screens? In this talk we look at some of the new devices and design patterns and introduce new upcoming web standards that allow you to write web apps that adapt to different configurations of a viewport split across a visible or invisible hinge, as well as show a lot of cool demos!
