Serverless is a great trend that is becoming more and more common in server development, as it is reducing a lot of the DevOps efforts for managing your various environments. But it is not good for all use cases. There are some uses cases it fits better, and some that it doesn’t. In this talk, I will explain when, in my opinion, it is better to use serverless, which architecture patterns it fits the most, and what are the challenges of using it. In addition, I will show an example of how to implement a Node.js server using AWS Lambda, and compare it to implementing a Node.js server using Docker containers. At the end of this lecture, you will have a better understanding of where it is recommended to use serverless in your server.
