Web components allow developers to build reusable custom elements that are based on official web standards, run in every modern browser, and can be added to any application, regardless of the frontend framework. Web components are the perfect tool for building framework agnostic design systems, but the out-of-the-box APIs are very low level and pose a high barrier to entry for some developers.

In this talk, we’ll discuss how Stencil solves this problem and makes web components approachable and enjoyable to build. With syntax and patterns that frontend developers are comfortable with, Stencil removes any blockers to adoption and makes building design systems much more accessible.
