The WebXR interface makes it possible to run AR and VR applications in the browser. This allows 3D models to be drawn in virtual or real worlds. In combination with WebGL and other browser interfaces, this opens up new exciting areas of use for web applications. For example, customers can virtually try out their goods in their own homes before placing an order. Navigation elements can be integrated into the camera image of the smartphone and if you get a colleague in front of the camera, you also get his virtual business card. In this talk, we take a look at the current state of the art and venture a glimpse into the future of WebXR.
